4 (Fascinating + Powerful) Keys To Breaking Through ANY Relationship Problem
Video Summary
In this video Claire Casey, a dating and relationship coach shares 4 tips to break through any relationship problem.
#1. Self-Knowledge
The more you know about yourself and your own relationship needs and what your deal breakers are, etc., the more you understand those needs and the more equipped you are to get them. It requires self-knowledge of what you want in order to get what you want. What do you need to be at the foundation of your relationship? It’s more difficult to find this if you aren’t really aware of what it is.
#2. Willingness to work REALLY hard
Some relationships dissolve because one or both partners are just being lazy. This is often the factor that trips people up in a relationship. Every relationship experiences issues and will at some point face difficulties, and you have to be willing to face them and work on them. Don’t be reluctant to work on your relationship – both when it’s bad and good. Many people bail when it gets tough and move on to the next relationship but this will only lead to a string of failed relationships.
#3. Willingness to grow
You can’t be the same person you were last week, last month, or last year. You have to be willing to grow and change in your relationship. You have to let go of old injuries and not let your past trip you up. Your primary focus is your relationship, not your parents, friends or even your children. Your marriage or relationship needs to take priority and grow and become a new thing.
#4. Flexibility
Furthermore you need to be willing to make compromises. You have to be flexible and work with your partner. This does not mean you have to accept that your needs will never be met or you need to give up on your deal breakers. It means that you have to recognize that sometimes your needs aren’t going to be met, and sometimes they will.
Relationships can be difficult but if you make sure these four things are present in your relationship you can overcome any obstacles or challenges. The first is self-knowledge. You have to know what you want. The second is a willingness to work hard on your relationship. When things are good you have to work hard to keep it there and when you come across problems you have to be willing to put in the work to overcome those. You also need to be willing to grow as a person and as a couple. Finally, you need to be flexible and work with your partner.
