Does Faking Happiness Help You Get Your Ex Back? [Avoid This Blunder If You Want To Get Your Ex Back]
Video Summary
In this video Clay Andrews, a relationship coach talks about one of the major mistakes smart people make when trying to get back together with their exes. This failure strategy is known as “look good for the camera.” So what it is and how can it undermine your getting back together with your ex?
Look good for the camera
When people work really hard to portray a positive image for the world, specifically for their ex and try to create an image that isn’t really true this is known as ‘looking good for the camera.’ People put forth a tremendous amount of energy making their ex think they are doing great and have a long string of people wanting to date them, but the truth of the matter is that at the end of the day they are going home down and depressed.
Why it doesn’t work
You aren’t really making any tangible progress in your life. You are presenting an image of togetherness for your ex and the outside world but really you are rotting on the inside. It is an ineffective strategy because even though you may be catching your ex’s attention now, it will crumble in the long run. If you haven’t made any real changes within yourself, any contact you make with your ex is going to fall apart. Your ex will see through your smoke and mirrors and they will feel betrayed and manipulated by you.
How to avoid this failure strategy
Fake photos from your “crazy night out” on Facebook may grab her attention, but in the long run it’s not going to work. You need to make some fundamental changes within yourself. You need to decide to throw away your ‘look good for the camera’ attitude and open yourself up to making real changes from the inside out.
Many people instinctively try to “look good for the camera” after they experience a breakup. They think that if the present the right image to their ex, then he or she will see how great their life is and want to come back to them. While you may grab their attention and bring them back to you briefly, in the long run this strategy is doomed for failure. Your ex will see through the act and end up feeling betrayed and manipulated, making it even more difficult for you to get her back in the future. If you truly want your ex back you need to make real changes within yourself, not changes on the surface.
