How To Get Your Ex Back After a Short-Term Relationship [Yes There is Hope and You Can Get Your Ex Back]
Video Summary
In this video, Clay Andrews, a relationship coach reveals how to get your ex back when you had a short term relationship.
A short but sweet relationship that ends abruptly can certainly be salvaged even after time has passed, particularly if the emotion that drove it continues to smolder under the surface.
Is affection and attraction still there?
The triggers which started your relationship in the first place may have just been sexual. On the other hand, there may have been bigger and more profound emotions involved. The kinds of magnets that bring people together don’t usually simply evaporate. Many people harbor warm, tender feelings for partners in a relationship which never really got off the ground, sometimes for an entire lifetime. In the right circumstances these feelings can bring the partners back together even after years have passed. So, the time matters far less in gauging such a possible re-union than the lingering emotions do.
Lingering emotion, the telltale sign
As you assess the possibility of re-kindling your relationship, consider what emotion, if any, still exists within you. If you feel the magnetism, you will probably meet with similar feelings on the other side. However, you still need to deal with whatever led to the initial break-up if you wish to move forward toward a healthy relationship. If your estranged partner ended the short relationship abruptly you may not really know what went wrong. Therefore, it will be difficult for you – even the new more enlightened you – to understand what problems existed there. This makes it nearly impossible to fix them.
You are writing your own love story
While it’s possible that your ex has gone totally cold and no longer has feelings for you, if you’re still drawn to him or her, you owe it to yourself to at least step forward. If you don’t venture forth, you’ll not achieve the first thing. As long as you are using the tools you learned during the Active No Contact period, you will be able to approach even what may not work out in a healthy way.
By being aware and accepting of reality, and while remaining committed to your own core values, you may be able to rekindle a romance that appears to have gone cold over time. The success or failure of your efforts depends upon whether or not the building blocks of a rich relationship, affection and attraction, remain.
