How To Make My Ex Miss Me After a Breakup (and Want Me Back)
Video Summary
In this video, Clay discusses how best to make your ex miss you.
While you may be very anxious to make your ex yearn for you, some of this will happen automatically if you allow it to.
Active No Contact
You almost never miss someone who hasn’t gone away. So, if you have broken up but are still in his/her face every day, you won’t be giving your ex the space he or she needs to actually begin to see you in the forgiving light of absence. In other words, be very careful to observe the Active No Contact rules while you spend thirty days completely out of touch with your ex. While you’re doing the exercises and learning the lessons found at Relationship Inner Game.com, your ex will be being reminded often of the positive things you did together and the bad things about your relationship will begin the process of evaporating. (Or at least dimming a little.)
Human nature helps
We humans are hardwired to forget the things that hurt us horribly. So, in time, your ex’s memories of the bad times will fade while your important, happy memories will stay bright and meaningful. Bad memories tend to fall away as you spend time apart. Of course, some break-ups are worse than others. As a consequence, there is no way of telling how long this mellowing will take. Depending upon the circumstances around your break-up and how ugly the last days or weeks happened to be, you may have to wait longer while time does its work.
The gender gap
Also of note, women tend to deal more openly with their feelings about a broken relationship. They may be ready to take another look at what happened sooner than their male partner will. Often, men caught up in their pride will have a harder time, even an internal tug-of-war before they are able to permit themselves to approach an ex with an eye toward reconciliation. To a woman, it may seem as if he isn’t doing any thinking about let alone missing you. Don’t be fooled. Strong feelings have a way of sticking around and they will be expressed sooner or later. Just be patient.
By giving your ex some time and space to begin to heal from your breakup, and, just as importantly, giving yourself the same opportunity, you will find that the good memories you made together will help to create a new sense of attraction.
