Is He Pushing For Sex? How To Make Him COMMIT Instead!
Video Summary
You know he likes you because after spending time together, he’s not shy about making known his intentions that he wants to get you into bed with him. This can be a bit tricky especially if you like the guy enough to want him to be committed to you. How do you get him to push for a serious relationship instead of push for just casual sex?
In this video, Amy North, a relationship coach from Vancouver, Canada, shares the following tips to make him do exactly just that.
Tip #1: Don’t put out (Make him work for it)
Men love the thrill of the chase. And they value something more when they have to work for it. This is why they value women who they have to win over. You don’t want to be just another notch on his bedpost so make it known that you don’t sleep with someone you’re not going steady with.
Perhaps you’re afraid he might think you’re lame for putting out. Don’t be. Tell him in a way that shows him you’re confident to know what you want. Not only will he respect you for that, he may very well find you all the more attracted because of it.
Tip #2: Be a real catch (Show him you’re special)
Make him realize that you’re such a great catch and it’ll be his loss if he doesn’t commit to you. Bring happiness into his life by exuding a positive, outgoing vibe. Be the best part of his day by making him smile and laugh. When he’s had a rough day, be the listener and support he needs.
Tip #3: Be unavailable (Show him you’re busy)
Don’t drop everything every time he asks you to meet up. Show him that you’re busy living up your own life. Sure, there’s a slight possibility that he stops calling if you stop being free every time he wants to get together. But what’s more likely to happen is that he will start missing you.
Use social media to your advantage. Show him what a fun and exciting life you’re leading. He may very well want to be a part of that, too.
Tip #4: Keep it public (Avoid private settings)
If you want to deter him from pushing for sex every time you get together, then suggest meeting up in more public places. When you spend time curled up in his couch, it’s more challenging to say no when he starts pushing for sex. Instead, plan for activities that will be fun for you both. That way, you not only have to awkwardly say no to his advances, but he gets to experience the real you.
Just be careful, though, about giving him the benefits of having a girlfriend without getting him to commit. Pull back and give him a taste of what life is like without you. Once he realizes how much you mean to his world, he’ll want to make you a more permanent presence in it.
