What NOT to Do When Meeting Your Ex – (Here Are 5 Deadly Mistakes You Need To Avoid At Any Cost)
Video Summary
So your period of no contact is almost up and you’re getting ready to meet with your ex. You wanna show him/her that you’re a changed person in hopes of re-sparking the romance that you two once had. Maybe you’re worried that you might do or say something that’s wrong and completely blow your shot. In this video, Marriage and Breakup Coach Brad Browning will teach you exactly what not to do when you’re meeting up with your ex.
Things you need to know before you meet up with your ex.
Depending on how the relationship ended, you need to engage in a period of roughly 30 days of zero contact with your ex. You need to make sure that you haven’t done any begging or pleading with your ex prior to when you meet up. If you’re still in an extremely emotional phase and you don’t think you’ll be able to hold it together, it’s probably best to steer clear from seeing them now. Finally, if you wanna get your ex back, you need to make sure you know the fundamental laws of attraction and the real reason why your relationship ended.
Mistake #1- Don’t call it a date.
The first thing that you shouldn’t be doing when meeting up with your ex is calling the rendezvous a date. Call it a casual coffee meet-up. You’re probably gonna send your ex running ‘cause he/she might think that you wanna get together for romantic reasons. So you need to make sure that your ex only thinks of your meet-up as just a friendly get-together and that’s it. If your ex feels that you’re trying to get back with them, they’ll gonna mentally cock-block you and may even find reasons to not see you. So to prevent that from happening, just make sure that you have a very good reason for meeting up with your ex.
Mistake #2- Don’t talk about your past relationship.
The second thing you don’t wanna do during the meet-up is bring up your old relationship with your ex at all. Remember your ex is there because he/she thinks that you wanna get together as friends and that’s it- nothing more. So if you suddenly bring up the topic of your breakup, you put your ex on the spot and you blow your chances of meeting up with your ex anytime in the near future. You really just need to make your ex feel good when they’re around you. Only then is she gonna feel compelled to take you back.
Mistake #3- Don’t beg and plead.
The third thing to avoid is begging and pleading. Any sort of dramatic behavior is gonna make your ex run for the hills. Begging and pleading is a massive attraction destroyer. He or she will only feel pity for you. Remember, the most attractive people in the world are confident individuals who don’t give a damn about what other people think of them. This is exactly the kind of mindset that you need to have before you go into any meet-ups with your ex.
Mistake #4- Don’t complain.
The fourth thing you should avoid is complaining. Complaining about your life or how lonely you are- you’re only gonna drive your ex further away from you. Again, this is not attractive behavior. So in order for you to make yourself as attractive as possible to your ex, you need to show off the fact that you’re doing well in all aspects of your life. By showing off how amazing your life has been since the breakup, you’re suddenly conveying to your ex that they missed out by breaking up with you. They’re gonna start wondering why on Earth they were stupid enough to let you go in the first place.
Mistake #5- Don’t ask about their dating life.
The fifth and final thing you should not do during meet-ups with your ex is to ask about their dating life. You need to come across up to them as though you don’t really care at all about who they’re dating or what’s going on with their love life. If you come across as curious or invasive about who they’re dating, it’s gonna seem like you’re worried that he/she is gonna find somebody new or they’re gonna move on without you. Your only goal of the short meet-up is to let your ex know that you’re not only doing alright but you’re actually flourishing since the breakup.
