Can You Play It Cool To Get Your Ex Back? [Discover the Hidden Dangers of Trying To Play It Cool]
Video Summary
In this video Clay Andrews, a relationship coach talks about a controversial subject. Should you pretend to be someone you are not to get your ex to like you again? This is another myth often touted by the “get your ex back guru’s” that will actually push your ex farther away from you.
Being someone you’re not
Pretending to be something you are not will ruin your chances of getting your ex back. Pretending to be happy, or pretending you have it all together will not work. Acting like the alpha male or posting pictures of your wild night out will also not work. These types of behaviors may draw your ex in initially, but they are not conducive to a healthy, long-term relationship.
You’re not being authentic to who you are
This is a very dangerous lie because when you put on these fronts you are not being authentic to who you are. If it actually ends up working and you do get your ex back, it will be based on a false premise. You’re going to have to continue to put on a charade and eventually your ex is going to see through it. They will walk out the door and you will be back to where you started from.
You want to be loved for who you are
It is going to take a lot of work to continue to put on this act for your ex. Eventually you are going to want to let your guard down and be yourself. No one can keep up this kind of act forever. Once you do this your ex will see that you were propping up a fake image of yourself instead of being genuine. You need to be 100% in alignment with who you are so you can loved for who you are.
Many people attempt to win their ex back by portraying a falsified version of who they are. Sometimes it works, but this is a dangerous game to play. Eventually you are going to want to let your guard down and the moment you do your ex is going to see through your act and leave again. Keeping up this act will be so much work and in the end it will be for nothing. Instead, you need to be 100% who you are so that you can be loved for who you are.
