- in Attraction
In this video, relationship coach Matthew Hussey of Get the Guy, talks about three of the things that women often say to men that crushes his attraction for her.
What not to say #1: “That’s so cute!”
Reacting with a, “that’s so cute!” kills attraction fast especially when you are referring to something that is an important aspect of his life such as his work.
What not to say #2: “You’re so funny when you dance!”
When you say this, it just adds to his humiliation. To begin with, guys already have a hard time dancing and making it look cool. Saying he’s funny when he does gives him the impression that he can’t act spontaneous and be fun around you.
What not to say #3: “Really?! I mean really…Are you – are you! – joking?!”
When he reveals that he hasn’t done something and that kind of embarrasses him but this is how you react – it makes him feel small. For instance, you are talking about a really popular film but he admitted he has not seen it, and you tease him in a rather sarcastic way about it – that only succeeds in making him feel like an idiot.
You could have taken it as an opportunity for the two of you to connect more if you instead said, “Oh really? We should watch it together some time then”.
Women often never realize that when they say these three things, they are killing a man’s attraction for her. For certain, when you say these things to a man you are interested in, it was not meant to be put-down. On the contrary, you might have meant to be flirtatious by teasing him.
Teasing is a powerful tool for flirting – that’s true – but only when it’s done the right way. So again, beware of saying these things as these just might dampen his interest in you.
